Are you eligible to play for Stoughton Youth Hockey?
Stoughton Youth Hockey is governed by WAHA (the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association) and follow all WAHA by-laws and guidelines. In accordance with WAHA in order to be eligible to play for SYHA you must either:
Reside within the Stoughton Area School District boundaries. This must by your PHYSICAL home address (not business or relative). Even if you do not attend school within Stoughton, your still must RESIDE within the school district boundaries.
Reside with in a surrournding community that does NOT have a local youth hockey organization (examples include: Edgerton, Evansville, Cambridge, Deerfield, Fort Atkinson, Milton, etc). These are considered "Open" areas. If you do reside within a community that does not have a local association you also must not HAVE played for another association while living in a "Open" area.
If you do not reside in either of the above areas you may not be eligible to play for SYHA. Please contact

USA Hockey Registration Requirement
Prior to registering with SYHA you must also register your player with USA Hockey and obtain a 2019 USA Hockey #. This is required of all youth hockey players in the United States. For players born 2013 or later registration is free. For players born 2012 or before registration is $56. Please follow these steps before you begin your SYHA registration:
PRINT and SAVE your 2019 USA Hockey Confirmation Codes. You will need the players 2019 USA Hockey # when you register with SYHA.

*In addition to “Dues Reductions” there are several chair positions that you can apply for to reduce your fees. Please see Parent Guide for details.
1 Your total SYHA skater fee is split into two parts. One is a flat registration fee and the other is a fee that can be reduced or off-set by money you earn in fundraising activities and is called Dues Reduction. Fundraising will be applied to the players account as it is earned. Any Dues Reduction not completed by the December 31st deadline will be due in cash, check or credit card by January 31, 2018. Dues Reduction Statements will be sent out by January 15, 2018. U6 and U8 age levels are able to earn and bank money made through fundraising and can apply that towards reducing fees when they move to Squirt Level.
3 U6-aged skaters with at least one season of participation have the option to register for U8, but will be assessed a Movement Fee of $125.

2019 Learn to Skate Session 2
The Learn To Skate (LTS) Program is broken up into two sessions. The cost of each sessions is $75. The dates for the the SECOND session are as follows: Saturdays from 9:00-9:45 starting on January 11th for 8 weeks, with no session on 11/30 for the Thanksgiving holiday and an exception the weekend of December 14th, see below. Takes place at the Mandt Center. Skaters must bring a helmet (a bike helmet is acceptable), there are a limited amount of pads and skates available.
