JR ICEBERGS HOCKEY
The Stoughton, Oregon, and McFarland (STORM) youth hockey associations are teaming up to offer full time all-girls hockey teams for players in their communities for the second straight year. Our goal is to develop skaters together from 8U through 14U who will play on the cooperative high school team, the Icebergs.
The Icebergs high school team typically includes players from the following communities: Stoughton, Oregon, McFarland, Monona Grove, Deerfield, Evansville, Cambridge, Lodi, and Poynette.
When additional skaters are needed to form an all-girls team, or when a nearby association does not have a team available for a skater, the Jr. Icebergs will also roster skaters from other associations. If you are from an association that does not offer girls hockey, we would love to have you play with the Jr. Icebergs!
Age Levels
U8, U10, U12 and U14

U8 - $750
U10 - $1,270
U12 - $1,380
U14 - $1,440

Cross-Roster
As these teams are full time all girls teams, a player wishing to cross roster between girls and co-ed must select girls as their primary team.
Team hosting structure
Each age group has a primary host association and practice location:
U8 (mites) hosted by McFarland
U10 (squirts) hosted by Oregon
U12 (peewee) hosted by Stoughton
U14 (bantams) hosted by McFarland
Tryouts & Evaluations
Tryouts will be conducted with neutral evaluators who are not affiliated with any of the co-op associations to ensure fair, unbiased, and consistent team placements. If registration numbers support multiple teams at an age level, players will be evaluated and placed accordingly. Team placement is based on skill level, readiness, and roster needs.
Games, Travel & Tournaments
Each team will play 30-40 games. A typical weekend will include 1 home and 1 away game. Teams will attend 2-3 tournaments, tournaments may require overnight stays. If eligible, teams will participate in playdowns and the state tournament.
Registration
Players from Stoughton, Oregon and McFarland should register with their home association and follow that associations fees, service hours, and policies. Players from other community associations without all-girls teams may register with the host association for their age level.
2025-2026 JR. ICEBERGS HOCKEY
Stoughton along with neighboring Hockey associations created All Girls teams. The teams are Cross Roster teams, allowing the girls to play on an all-girls team yet still play Co-ed with their home associations. This gives our girls an opportunity to play and meet other girls in their area who enjoy hockey. Many of the girls want to play high school hockey, making this an excellent way for the girls to spend time together before then. Cross Rostering allows girls to play for both a Girl's team and their Co-ed team. There is no coed requirement to play. Those wishing to cross roster between an all-girls team and a coed team will have that opportunity. There will be an additional cross roster fee to help cover the costs of ice and refs.
